My First Blogger Layout!

I created my first ever blogger layout today. I call it Shabby1. I know that's not a very creative name, but it works for now lol. Here are some screen shots of it.

Instructions:

Download the HTML to your computer. Don't worry, once you've uploaded it to your blogger account you can delete it.
Copy the HTML.
Go to your blogger dashboard.
From your dashboard click "Design".
From your page elements area click "Edit html".
Highlight and delete everything in the box.
Paste my html in the box.
Save template.

Busy Busy Bee

I am working on teaching myself how to use the layout HTML so I can maybe start making blogger layouts. I love the layouts that Freyja Silver does and I hope she doesn't mind but I've swiped a couple of her layouts' HTML so I can study it and learn what each part does etc. Next I'll be keeping an original version of the HTML and an editable version so I can work with it myself and see what changes I can make. About the only way I learn is by doing things like this. I don't think I could ever learn this out of a book because there's way too much to over think in the books lol. If I can go in and change this that and another to see what it changes and how it works that is what really helps me learn it lol. So there are new things coming hopefully lol. I think I'm doing well with my headers, the first one was good for my first one ever, but as I look back at it, I realized it could have been a little different. So today before work I'll be working on new layouts just to test out. So cross your fingers, I'm hoping I'm successful!

Introductory Post

I am Willow Silverhorse from Confessions of a Country Witch. I recently got into creating different things with GIMP which is an application very similar to Photoshop. I mainly created this blog to test out the different things I'm doing and show them off if you guys are interested in looking at them lol. Periodically I will post the new things I've created and possibly offer things like blog headers, etc. I don't know enough about HTML at this time to make blogger backgrounds and such, but if I ever get there I'll let you know lol. I'll also show off some of my paper crafts as well since I'm really getting to enjoy making them. Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy what I have to offer!
